Journey into the wonderful world of reading
An important element of our reading support concept are our two well-stocked school libraries run by committed volunteers: one in the primary school and one in the secondary school.
The library in the Secondary School can be used flexibly by all students in the Secondary School during its opening hours, whilst our 1st to 4th grade students have fixed weekly library hours in which they can browse and read to their heart’s desires. The youngest children are also encouraged to explore the wonderful world of reading. Every week, the future school children of the KiBi groups come to the GS library for an age-appropriate story reading and are then allowed to choose and borrow a book to take home.
We teach reading skills
Our German teachers work closely with our literature teacher and her “collection of books”. The “collection of books” helps us to always be up to date with the newest books to get even those who least enjoy reading books to read.
Foreign language literature
In addition to a wide selection of German literature, our students can also find foreign-language literature in both libraries.
