    APPROACH

The iDSB campus is located in the municipality of Wezembeek-Oppem, about 8 km east of Brussels. Our school is located on extensive green grounds in the middle of the residential area of the outskirts of Brussels, close to the E40 and the R0 motorway ring road. The iDSB is easily accessible by both private and public transport. Many iDSB families enjoy living in Wezembeek-Oppem and the neighbouring villages of Sterrebeek, Kraainem, Tervuren, Moorsel or Woluwe Saint-Lambert.

Our pupils have the possibility to use individual school transport. You can find more information about this HERE.

    How to find us

From the E40 motorway, the school is about 5 minutes’ drive from the Sterrebeek/Wezembeek-Oppem exit. From the Brussels ring road, the Wezembeek-Oppem exit is only a 2 minute drive from the iDSB.

    Access by public transport

The nearest metro station is the Kraainem/Crainhem stop on line 1 (Gare de l’Ouest – Stokkel). From there, you can get to the school in a few minutes by bus of the Brussels transport company STIB (lines 76 and 77, stop Deutsche Schule and Gergel respectively).

The Brussels suburbs are served by buses of the Flemish transport company De Lijn. The bus stop closest to the iDSB on the Chaussee des Malines or Mechelsesteenweg – Ban Eik can be reached in just under 10 minutes.

By tram, line 39 goes from the city centre to Wezembeek-Oppem. From the Ruisseau or Beek stop, it is a 10-minute walk along Rue Ruisseau or Beekstraat to the iDSB.

Tickets for both lines are only valid within restricted fare zones. Separate tickets are available for schoolchildren.

    Arrival by train

ICE and Thalys trains run back and forth between Brussels and Aachen/Cologne/Frankfurt several times a day. Brussels’ international train station is called Bruxelles Midi. From there, the iDSB can be reached by Brussels public transport.

    Arriving by plane

The airlines Lufthansa and Brussels Airlines operate various scheduled flights between German cities and Brussels. Brussels Airport in the suburb of Zaventem is only about a 10-minute drive from the iDSB.
