Reading talents in the spotlight: Clio and Jasper shine in the iDSB reading competition
An enthusiastic audience and an appealing level characterised this year’s reading competition for grades 5 and 6 at the iDSB.
The pupils presented their reading skills in front of a jury and demonstrated their reading talent both with texts of their own choice and by reading aloud unfamiliar passages from the award-winning young adult book ‘Wolf’ by Saša Stanišić.
In the 5th grade competition, Clio Uhrig impressed the jury and the audience with her excellent and fluent reading and won 1st place.
Jasper Grauvogel, who shone with his reading skills and confident text interpretation, came out on top in the 6th grade competition. Jasper will represent the iDSB at the final in February at the Hessian State Representation in Brussels, where he will compete against the winners from the other participating schools.
We would like to congratulate Clio and Jasper on their success and wish Jasper every success in the upcoming final!
