Reading with Hugo Grimm

Our Year 9 and 10 classes had the opportunity to take part in a very special reading today, which was based on the book ‘Adressat unbekannt’.

It centres on the correspondence between two friends – an American Jew and a German – in 1933, when Hitler came to power. Through the reading, the pupils were able to experience in an impressive way the creeping alienation of the two and the destructive consequences of National Socialism, which had a tragic impact on each of the protagonists.

It was a captivating and intense production that impressively brought this literary masterpiece to life.
