Commemoration “Armistice”
On the occasion of Armistice Day on November 11, the 10th-grade classes took part in the commemoration ceremony in Wezembeek-Oppem today. Together with students from neighboring schools, we remembered the end of World War I. This day of remembrance holds special significance in Belgium, as the country was deeply affected by the war and served as a central battleground of the conflict. The participation of the German School is particularly important, as it symbolizes reconciliation and a shared commitment to remembrance. By actively engaging in honoring the memory of war’s horrors and the importance of peace, we, as a school, strengthen awareness of responsibility and the appreciation of peaceful coexistence.
