St Martin’s procession at KiBi
In beautiful autumn weather, the children of KiBi and the first class met yesterday for our annual lantern festival. The children paraded through the streets with their colourful lanterns, led by a horse. The highlight of the evening was the parade of St Martin’s horse, whose rider recalled the legendary story of St Martin sharing his coat with a beggar.
After the procession, there was hot punch and mulled wine, which warmed the children wonderfully and created a festive atmosphere. And of course there was a Weckmann for every child!
Our Lantern Festival was once again a wonderful event that brought young and old together and reminded us how important it is to come together, meet and, of course, share!
