Summer reception of the German School
On 1 July 2024, the school association’s summer reception took place in the auditorium of the iDSB (secondary school). The event began at 8 p.m. and offered the school community the opportunity to gather in a relaxed atmosphere.
Prof Dr Voigt, vice chairman of Board of Governors, opened the evening with a short welcoming speech. The focus of the event was on honouring long-standing and retiring employees and volunteers. These individuals were honoured for their services and commitment with certificates and bouquets of flowers. The recognition of their work was acknowledged with applause from those present.
Following the awards, Mr Müller-Solger gave a presentation on the topic of “Artificial Intelligence”. He explained the potential and challenges of integrating artificial intelligence and outlined how AI will support and influence our lives in the future. The presentation was met with great interest and offered the audience valuable insights into current developments.
After the official part of the evening, the guests had the opportunity to chat over a glass of sparkling wine and delicious finger food. The atmosphere was relaxed and sociable, and there was lively discussion about the presentation, the honoured individuals and everyday school life.
The summer reception finally ended in the late evening hours. The event was a complete success and once again demonstrated the strength and cohesion of the iDSB school community.
We would like to thank everyone involved and look forward to the next summer reception!
