New Year’s reception 2024 – all about Franco-German friendship

On Monday, 22 January 2024, the school association’s New Year’s reception took place in the iDSB auditorium. This day marked the 61st anniversary of the signing of the Elysée Treaty, and so Franco-German friendship was at the centre of the evening.

After an introduction by the board of the school association (Dr Nozar, Mr Wagner) and the headmasters of the two schools (Ms Mouden, Lycée Francais; Mr Flohn, iDSB), there was a highly interesting panel discussion: the two ambassadors, Mr Kotthaus (Germany) and Mr Sénémaud (France), answered questions from pupils in the upper school of the Lycée Francais and the iDSB on a wide range of current topics.

Before and after the programme, there was an opportunity for an informal exchange over a drink and a snack. Around 150 guests – school association members, parents and iDSB staff – spent an entertaining and exciting evening in a pleasant atmosphere.
