Adventures in the past: The 5th grade classes of the iDSB explore the prehistorium in Flémalle
Flémalle, 11 January 2024 – Year 5 pupils from the International German School Brussels had an exciting day at the Prehistorium in Flémalle. Here, the pupils immersed themselves in the world of “prehistory” and learnt more about the lives of our ancestors.
The day was filled with interactive workshops: The children “hunted” with bows and arrows, discovered their creative talents with pottery and learnt about traditional fire-making. These hands-on activities not only fostered their understanding of prehistoric times, but also their teamwork skills and creativity.
“The fire-making was the coolest thing. We learnt a lot about the Stone Age,” said several children enthusiastically.
This field trip is another example of IDSB’s commitment to providing students with unique and enriching learning experiences.
