Students in dialogue with journalist Hubert Wetzel: Exciting panel discussion on current social issues
In October, our school hosted an exciting panel discussion with Hubert Wetzel, which was moderated by dedicated twelfth-grade students. The event gave students the opportunity to discuss current social issues and share their perspectives with an experienced journalist.
The panel covered a variety of controversial topics, including God, guns, drugs, the upcoming presidential election and the situation at the border with Mexico. The debate was particularly relevant in light of the upcoming elections. Hubert Wetzel shared his insights and experiences and encouraged the students to think about the impact of these issues on society.
The moderators skilfully led the discussion and encouraged their fellow students to ask questions and contribute their opinions.
Overall, the event was a great success and demonstrated our students’ commitment to social issues. The panel discussion not only raised awareness of important issues, but also encouraged interest in political engagement.
