iDSB art show 2024: “Traumhaft”

Our minds are places of unlimited imagination in which we create colourful, abstract and whimsical worlds. It was precisely this imagination that was at the centre of the iDSB Art Show 2024 with the motto ‘Dreamlike’. Year 12 pupils spent a year working on transforming their dreams into creative works of art – completely without fabric. Instead, they used materials such as coat hangers, plaster, Tetra Paks and fairy lights to design unique fashion and art objects.

The highlight of the evening was an impressive fashion show in which the self-designed dream dresses were presented. Accompanied by an atmospheric light show and appropriate music, the show enchanted the audience. An accompanying exhibition also featured dreamlike landscapes, colourful sculptures and surreal paintings that transported visitors to fantastic worlds.

The ‘Dreamlike’ art show impressively demonstrated that dreams and creativity are alive and well at the iDSB – an evening that deeply moved and amazed the audience.
