5th grade reading competition
On 5 December, the year 5 reading competition took place in our school assembly hall. Six pupils from Years 5a and 5b competed to demonstrate their reading skills. In the first round, all participants chose a passage from a young adult novel and brought the stories to life with great commitment and expressiveness. In the second round, they read a foreign text from the story “Fürs Leben zu lang” by Nikola Huppertz.
The auditorium was filled with attentive listeners, consisting of fellow pupils and teachers, who all listened intently to the performances. The pupils’ reading skills were varied, which made the jury’s decision all the more difficult.
After lively deliberation, the winner was decided: Jasper from class 5b impressed the jury with his lively and pointed reading.
We congratulate Jasper on his victory and all participants on their achievements!
