Religion in a different way – a trip to Rome

In March, the 10th graders took part in a study trip to Rome as part of the religion course. This five-day trip to the eternal city was the best and most interesting class trip I have ever been on. I really enjoyed this trip and learnt a lot because although it was not my first time there, I discovered new things. I particularly enjoyed the Domitilla Catacombs. The guide’s explanations were excellent and you don’t even notice how quickly time passes under the earth. Of course, St Peter’s Basilica is a must on a religious tour and we even went inside twice and still haven’t seen everything. With the Colosseum and the many unique churches, you can once again see many different eras and thus Rome is one of the most interesting cities in Europe in terms of many subjects (history, geography, religion, languages,…). It’s definitely not the last time I’ll be there and I’m looking forward to discovering more beautiful churches, streets and museums!
