Visit of the educators’ school of the abbey of Seligenthal
On the occasion of the visit of the nursery school of Seligenthal Abbey in Landshut, the responsible persons sent us an article which we are happy to share with the school community:
“We would like to tell you about an exciting visit that recently gave us the opportunity to explore new possibilities for cooperation. Our colleague, Mrs Harlander (pictured right), had the pleasure of visiting the bilingual nursery and preschool in Brussels and established an extremely positive relationship with the director, Mrs Westphal.
The encounter with the bilingual nursery inspired us and made us want to establish a collaboration for our Erasmus interns. We would like to offer these interns the opportunity to work in the day care centre for a longer period of time between the Whitsun and summer holidays or through the Erasmus PLUS programme.
What makes the cooperation with the bilingual day care centre so attractive? The kindergarten offers an exceptional environment for our future professionals to expand their skills and knowledge. Here, the children receive a multilingual education and develop an understanding of different cultures and traditions. This international orientation allows our interns to strengthen their intercultural skills and gain valuable insights into working with children from different countries.
We attach great importance to a holistic education that takes into account the individual needs and interests of each child. Our interns have the opportunity to support the experienced and committed team on site, to test pedagogical concepts and to contribute their own ideas.
We are convinced that this cooperation is a win-win situation for all involved. Our Erasmus interns get the opportunity to gain valuable experience in an international environment and broaden their professional perspectives. At the same time, the institutions benefit from their fresh input, enthusiasm and intercultural competence.
We are looking forward to the future cooperation with the bilingual kindergarten and the Erasmus trainees. Together we can further develop the pedagogical diversity at our academy and offer our students an even broader learning environment.
If you are interested in a cooperation or would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
Your team at the Specialist Academy for Social Pedagogy Seligenthal”.
